Ever since Robert Makovicka began his career as an intern at WPBT 2 in 1993, his commitment to quality programming as a producer, editor and videographer has not abated.

Makovicka displayed many diverse talents while working on public broadcasting programs that includes children’s programming, wildlife conservation, high energy travel, magazine style and historical documentaries such as the award winning series New Florida, The Flying Days of Riddle Field, Leyendas, The Greats of Cuban Music, La Cocina, South of Brooklyn to name a few. In 1997 Makovicka earned two PBS awards including the Beryl Specter Award for his production on WPBT2’s KidVision.

Makovicka’ goal is to grab a hold of the story that surrounds the changing seas and let its voice and spirit be heard. Through his lens, he will capture the beauty and soul of the ever evolving oceans.
