Marco Cardeña is a biologist from the Ricardo Palma University. Marco started as a volunteer for the Punta San Juan Program in 1997. He then returned to work as Field Assistant (2001-2008) and later became Field Coordinator (2008-2019.) During these 18 years he has conducted data collection and organized field activities for monitoring and research under the goals of the Program, as well as trained young students in field monitoring techniques. He continues collaborating with the Program and works in private consultancies in marine ecology.
